Though everyone knows for sure that one will eventually die oneday, all of us forgets that in day to day life and get in to all kinds of madness, as if we are going to exist forever.
In hinduism, the dead body gets cremated and becomes ash, the close relative of that deadbody should perform certain rites with the ash, where he gets to a closest truth of life realising that the person lived till yesterday with an attidude of being forever is now a mere handful of ash.
To remind that our body is impermanent, every hindu in their day to day life, has to smear the sacred ash on his forehead after his bath. That is when he starts his day, he will go in front of the mirror and remind himself that this body is going to be a handful of ash like this one day and apply on his forehead.
The western world will not accept as it believes this way of mind set will never prompt innovations / creativity or productivity but to prove the western world that it is not true, there is one standing example and it goes like this:
